Treasure Hunter (Passive ability) Level 1
As you approach mastery in the fishing skill, you will begin to hook lost treasures when fishing. The higher your fishing skill is, the more treasures can be found. At high levels, finding rare items such as music discs is even possible.
The treasure balancing associated with this ability is not finalized. When mcMMO balancing is complete, they will be listed here in full.
Master Angler (Passive ability) Level 10
Increases the bite chance while fishing. There are 8 tiers to this buff, one every 10 levels between unlock and 90, with a maximum reduction in fishing catch time of 8 seconds. When you've unlocked this ability, fishing while in a boat also improves the odds of catching a fish.
Shake (Active ability) Level 15
Snatch items and equipment from monsters by hooking them with the fishing rod. Hooked mobs will drop items they would normally drop on death, including items they have picked up, and it is also possible to acquire mob skulls. This damages the monster for 1/4 of their total health, capped at 10 damage (5 hearts).
At shake rank 1, the player has a 5% chance of success. This chance increases by 10% per rank until maximum rank 8 at mastery level 100, at which point the success chance caps at 75%.

Fisherman's Diet (Passive ability) Level 20
Increases the amount of hunger restored from eating fish with each rank. There are five ranks to this ability, with level requirements at each multiple of 20.
Ice Fishing (Passive ability) Level 30
Allows you to fish in ice lakes once unlocked! Cast your fishing rod in an ice lake and the ability will create a small hole in the ice to fish through.
Magic Hunter (Passive ability) Level 40
Adds a chance to find enchanted treasure items while fishing once unlocked, such as tools and equipment. Enchanted book treasures are divided into these categories based on rarity:
