Roles are used to define different permissions for groups of players based on their in-game achievements, staff status, and financial contributions.

Staff

Dormcraft is an entirely not-for-profit project, and does not have the ability to pay staff members. All contributors are volunteers, who have genorously offered their time (and often money out of their own pocket) to make the server what it is today.

Here's what we're looking for in 2023:

Know a thing or two about Minecraft, servers in general, coding, websites, marketing, design, or just want to help out? Ping an active staff member in our Discord server- we're always looking for more help! All positions are volunteers, and all staff members work on the project at their convenience.

Club Staff - Facilitate on campus events, organize fundraising, and interface with WWU staff on Dormcraft's behalf.
Player Moderator - Offer advice & answer questions about the project. Use staff tools to resolve disputes and enforce platform rules on our Discord & game server.
Graphic Designer / Visual Artist - Create brand imagery for the project including Discord emojis, promotional fliers, special characters, and website images.
Developer - Prefer experience working with Java, Javascript, HTML/CSS, or C++. Make cool addons for Minecraft & help us to create a more efficient backend. Diagnose & fix bugs, in coordination with Administrators.
Administrator - Prefer experience working in Linux, on/around servers, or with Minecraft's file structure specifically. Optimize, mange, and update the project & its addons. Diagnose & fix bugs, in coordination with Developers.
