Archaeology (Passive ability) Level 1
As you approach mastery in the excavation skill, you will begin to find buried treasures when excavating. The higher your excavation skill is, the more treasures can be found. At high levels, finding rare items such as diamonds nametags is even possible. And also keep in mind that each type of excavation compatible material has its own unique list of treasures. In other words you will find different treasures in dirt than you would in gravel.
The treasure balancing associated with this ability is not finalized. When mcMMO balancing is complete, they will be listed here in full.
Giga Drill Breaker (Active ability) Level 5
Temporarily triples your chance of finding archaeology treasures when excavating, and enables instant breaking of Excavation materials, at the cost of extra damage to your shovel. Duration of this ability scales with level, up to mastery level 100.
With a shovel held in your hand, you can right-click a block to ready your tool. Use [crouch]+right clicking in special cases, such as when there is an item in the offhand. The ability will then be activated by excavating blocks.
Giga Drill Breaker duration scales with Excavation level, but the cooldown is a static 4 minutes.
Keep in mind that these blocks must be naturally spawned by the server's world generation in order to award experience when mined.
