What is McMMO?

McMMO is a popular Minecraft plugin that adds RPG-like elements to the game. With mcMMO, players can level up skills simply by playing the game as they normally would. As players level up their skills, they gain new abilities and bonuses, such as increased chances of finding rare items or faster mining speed. mcMMO also includes a unique party system that allows players to team up and share their skills and bonuses with each other. Whether you're a casual player or a hardcore Minecraft enthusiast, mcMMO adds a new level of smoothly integrated depth and excitement to the game that keeps players coming back for more.

If you want to know more about how we implement this addon, you can view our pages here for information about each skill. We have customized our level scaling expression, experience values, and the levels at which different abilities are unlocked.

How to train skills

By playing the game! Each skill is centered around a game mechanic or fighting style. Participating in those activities will gain you experience in the corresponding skill, and you'll see an experience bar at the top of your game window when this happens.

Skills

Power Level Is the sum total of all of your stats, which are unique to your Minecraft account UUID. Stats are generally immutable, and would only decrease in the event of a server rollback, exploit patch, or global reset of the hiscores. You do not lose your levels due to player deaths or inactivity. Experience cannot be traded, but it can be temporarily boosted for all online players by ranked supporters. Each skill offers unique unlocks until the player reaches "mastery" level 100, at which point all unlocks have been obtained. Skill experience is capped at level 500 in each stat.

Available skills to be trained on Dormcraft:

Abilities

Abilities are unlocked at varying levels, and behave uniquely for each skill. Each ability grants a skill-specific bonus. Some abilities' functionality becomes more efficient or beneficial with each level, while others have multiple tiers to unlock, and still others only need to be unlocked once to provide a static effect. Check out each skill's page from the links above if you are interested in reading up on specific functionality.

Active abilities take effect for only a short period, have a cooldown, and must be activated by the player. In most cases, this can be done by right clicking with the appropriate tool in hand, or [crouch]+right clicking in special cases, such as when there is an item in the offhand. Some active abilities require special behavior, so make sure to read up on them if you're having issues.

Passive abilities are always in effect once they have been unlocked. You can think of these as the perks of your mastery in a skill, which often improve gradually as you near skill mastery at level 100.

Scoreboard commands

McMMO tracks your rank compared to other players in each skill, and in total level. Players can view their skills and ranks using the scoreboard display, which appears at the center right of the game window.

Additional information

This wiki is extensive because it is one of very few of it's kind: Both of the existing mcMMO wiki projects are no longer up-to-date or complete, so servers are left to maintain an independent knowledgebase. There are still major changes in development for mcMMO version 2.2, and we can reasonably expect that the official mcMMO wiki will be completed in the months following that release. With that in mind, you may still find useful information on mcMMO's wiki at either of the links below.

While most skills operate as expected, and are a special case called "child skills." This is because they are skills that do not level up directly, but instead are leveled through calculating the average of two skills called parent skills. Child skills do not have a leaderboard, but offer great functionality in their ability unlocks for players who invest time in them.
