🧊Miniblocks

Dormcraft uses Arcaniax's HeadDataBase plugin to add more than 50,000 placeable miniblocks using the player head block. Players can search the database for textures by name.

Head Database is a fast and user-friendly addon that allows you to obtain custom Minecraft skulls that feature unique designs, often called miniblocks. In the vanilla game, the player skull block isn't very impressive, but the Head Database adds tens of thousands of custom textures for this block to choose from! This gives players access to creative design opportunities that enhance the overall quality of builds by adding detail and roleplaying features. This functionality is currently reserved for supporters who have purchased the Elder role, but players who have achieved the Viking I role can always use the vanilla /skull <player> command.

The core command is /HDB, short for /headdatabase. By default, this brings up the GUI, but you can add arguments to it if you want to find skulls manually. Within the GUI, skulls are sorted by category. Once you have arrived at a miniblock you would like, you can click it to add one to your inventory. This does not close the GUI window, so you can select multiple at a time, or give yourself duplicates.

Skull textures are individually named, and regular updates are pulled from minecraft-heads.com. This is so that the database can be searched with a simple query, rather than by the associated Minecraft account's name. This can be done by clicking the compass in the GUI, or via the /hdb search <query> command, which works best with simple phrases.
