Axes

Axes is a combat skill based on using the axe as a weapon. This skill focuses on increasing the player's damage with their axe.

As with all combat stats, decreased experience is awarded for slaying mobs spawned by monster spawner blocks. For experience gained from using your axe as a gathering tool, see Woodcutting.

Critical Strikes (Passive ability, PvP) Level 1

Gives the player a chance to deal extra damage when landing a crit. At maximum level 100, the player has a 37.5% chance of doing double damage to monsters or 50% extra damage to players with each critical strike.

Axe Mastery (Passive ability, PvP) Level 1

Inflicts more flat damage damage with the axe depending on axes level, up to a maximum of 4 extra damage (two hearts) at mastery level 100.

Armor Impact (Passive ability, PvP) Level 1

Adds a static 25% chance to increase the amount of damage an axe does to armor on a successful strike. This perk starts with an armor damage bonus, increasing once for every 5 levels the player gains in axes.

Skull Splitter (Active ability, PvP) Level 5

With an axe held in your hand, you can right-click a block to ready your weapon. Use [crouch]+right clicking in special cases, such as when there is an item in the offhand. The ability will then be activated by hitting Mobs/Players. Active duration starts out at 2 seconds, and increases by 1 second every 5 levels.

Skull Splitter duration scales with Axes level, but the cooldown is a static 4 minutes.

Greater Impact (Passive ability) Level 35

In battle against armored mobs, adds a static 25% chance to deal 2 extra damage (1 heart) and a hit the target with a Knockback effect. This is comparable to Knockback II on a sword, and makes an explosive sound when activated.
